This assignment was to write an essay having to do with friendship. This story is made up but my family and I did have a fire and s'mores on Halloween night. My little brother actually is the one who made his marshmallow stick glow
Twas Halloween night and all around a fire my friends and I waited for 9:00pm to come. While we waited, we played games in our costumes. My friend, Kylene, was dressed as a teenage zombie girl. My other friend, Talia, was dressed as a ghost girl, and I was dressed as a black cat. We played games like tag, hide ‘n’ seek, freeze tag, and telephone. We also talked for a while.
It was 8:55 when we finally got bored and noticed the time, so we went down to the garden, hid and waited. We knew my older brother would soon be coming home from work over the back garden fence. Four minutes later, he jumped over the fence. We snuck up behind him and scared him silly. He ran, screaming, into the house.
At about 9:15 we finally stopped laughing. We cooked and ate marshmallows and s’mores. When we were finished eating, we cooked our marshmallow sticks to get all the goo off (because they were metal) and Talia left her marshmallow stick in so long that it turned a glowey red! She stood very still until the stick turned black again, and then she stuck it in a bucket of the dog’s water and it sizzled.
After all that exitment, we went inside and played card games and board games until 9:45pm. Then we went to my room and had a sleepover. In the morning, I made pancakes with chocolate chips for breakfast. Later Talia and Kylene went took some marshmallows, chocolate, and graham crackers and went home.
